Clearer reception?

A couple of weeks back a ferocious storm complete with wind and hail and sideways rain demolished what was left of the dormer roof on the back side of our house. I spent a week getting roofers to come over and give estimates on the damage repair. Estimates ranged from $550 to $5500! All for the same roof!

We waited to all the bids came in and on Saturday this past weekend, we picked the most reasonable and complete bid. The roofer came right over to finalize a contract and get a deposit check. While he was here, dear ol’ hubby asked him if we provided an antenna, if roofer guy would replace the old rusty one we now have. Roofer guy said, “Sure, no trouble.”

So after thanking him and grabbing a quick burger, we went off to acquire us a new antenna. That turned out to be easier said than done. Seems antenna needs have become a thing of the past. We are one of the few hold-outs who aren’t paying for cable or dish satellite reception on our TV. We went to three stores before we finally found any antenna. There were two, a long one and a short one. We got the long one.

So now we have an antenna in a box. I hope the roofer guy shows up soon. We are supposed to have more rain by the end of the week and the roof is leaking right over the bed!
