My first author/illustrator appearance this year was at Spirit Awakening in Alton, IL; March 31 through April 2. I signed books on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday I had a reading corner for the little ones.
The hotel folks were marvelous. They even put a welcome notice for the event in their marquee. Unfortunately the winds were so strong and steady that the letters kept getting blown down until Sunday. They were so happy with the festival coordinators and the attendees that an invitation for next year’s gather was extended to SA. Score one for the Pagans. 
Gabby (above on the right) was so pleased with my participation this year she also invited me back for next year’s SA. I happily accepted the invitation. Next year I will be giving full blown workshops as well as a reading for the little ones.
I highly recommend this event. I found the event itself and the general energy to be among the most peaceful and loving of events I have attended. The coordinators were very concerned with the happiness and well being of all attendees, vendors and presenters. I can’t wait until next year. What a blast. Even though I am slow on getting this up, I still get a rush just from my memory of the weekend.
